Out for a 11 mile outing on Tuesday night. Weather still cold and very breezy up here. Tonight we have major downpours in between blinking sun. This unseasonal weather is having a marked effect on the amount of people i'm seeing when out and about.Tuesday nights ride was a double loop round the golf course and then the Burghill and Stannochy route with a wee trek round the town to finish.

33 Miles for me today. Met up with a couple of the Macc lads and rolled over to the Westmead 88 10 mile TT via some hills around Birtles. Turned up at 6:30 start time 7:29 rolled over to Alderley Edge. Bought a fairtrade small chocolate bar 99p , only in Alderley. Rode back upto the start and did a few warm ups and set off. It was a touch on the cold side and we had a bit of a cross wind, but I managed a 25.08 which given I was on my road bike and none of the pointy hat brigade overtook me I was happy with^_^ . Then a leisurley ride home.

23 miles in the sun, mainly testing the adjustments to the road bike. My LBS used me as a guinea pig for their new computer-number-crunching bike fit service. Excellent stuff, really impressed. Amongst some other tweaks, they raised the saddle a good couple of centimetres - oh wow. What a difference. New PB for the average speed and spent most of the ride on the big ring, even on some gradients that would have seen me flick the shifters before.

35 miles today around one of my usual loops....through amberly...up Houghton hill...back into Arundel....ford....Littlehampton and back...bit 'breezy' to say the least in places but none of the howling gales of the last few days. Blue sky, sunshine and a very irritating click from the bottom bracket area....hmmm....

its a bit weird....last week I was watching the harvest in Cyprus...here the bluebells are out...its like going back in time.

Lots of glass on the shoulders...must always be there, but I just didn't notice it so much in the grey rainy days lately.

....plan was to finish this loop, have lunch at myplace then set out on the same loop backwards....erm...but I have just woken up after an unplanned coma type knap.....ooops^_^

Had to get out & back today before watching the Grandson play Rugby (League) I must have been in hurry I got 4 Strava Crowns ! The school rugby team the grandson's in won the national final last year staged at Odsal stadium Bradford, this years final is at Twickenham & the finalist get to attend the Rugby League Challenge Cup final at Wembley, they were winning 12 - 6 at half time, it was 20 - 20 at the whistle with the 1st team to score the winners, they gave away a penalty in front of the sticks and the other team gladly took the 2 points & the win  the lads were distraught.

I had a good day on the bike.

Got home at half 5ish and couldn't resist the chance to get out and have a ride. Didn't particularly want to go far just fancied going out and having a blast at some local strava segments. Had 20 miles or so in mind with one section being a six mile loop. Got out and did 2 miles and felt like my legs just didn't want to do it so a short loop it was of 7 miles. But a rides a ride.

Sunshine lollypops and rainbows up here tonight so out for a trip after tea. Out by the golf course and then down to Little Brechin on to West Muir. Took a left up the hill towards Pittendreich Farm then the decent back into town. A diet coke stop (STEADY LADIES ) at Tesco then back through the town with a wee stop at the river to see if it was still running the same way. After 5 minutes of being eaten alive by midgies i headed for home. Ten miles tonight which was good as i missed being forced to watch Eastenders. I regret to report that i was back in time for Waterloo Road. Ride till the soaps are finished folks. Mike.
