100k's round the Kent lanes.
Knee giving me a bit of jip.
One of my favourite cycling roads (Knatts Valley) has been retarmacced. Which is fine except the bastard workmen left enough gravel behind to cover the M25 resulting in a near off at over 20mph. Scary stuff.

Mine was lovely, 5miles home then phonecall from the wife asking if I wanted to go to her Mums foe tea and cake! 25 mile round trip coupled onto a 5 mile commute isnt too bad. Lots of climbing as well!

I remember Knatts Valley, very nice little lane top to bottom, ( or bottom to top ^_^). Also liked the Pilgrims Way, Titsey Church through to Wrotham, nice & quiet most of the time. I haven't found the equivalent down here on the Surrey/Hants border yet.

Had a day off and did the longest ride I've done for years. 54 miles nice and steady. Got a bit wet and was very tired towards the end, the hills and headwind made the last ten miles hard going. Loved it though.

Mine was a bit of a mission and for fun today.Rode to the Manchester velodrome to register my two eldest girls with British Cycling so they can compete in the under 8's cycle speedway.Took the Boardman again in what can be described as moist weather and you guessed it....no guards ! Wet crevice was the order of the day !!!!
After mission was completed i stopped at the Imperial War Museum North and had a look at a captured Iraqi T.55 tank outside.Got home four hours later with the "where have you been look" from Mrs Skud Just had a nice pleasant ride in the warm rain...bliss !
Here's a few pics to tease you all......

My commute in and home yesterday was hell! Near gale force winds and rain coupled with climbing are not good! Ah well I spose I'll be stronger for it
