A lazy ride with the other half, 22 miles went to see my daughter in loughton, a bit nippy on the way out, first time for Deb's to do King George hill, she made it to the top, but she was breathing a bit heavy, but she might have been looking at my bum in lycra.^_^

Just over 60miles in total. In the morning I popped out for 40.5 miles on the folder (34.6miles before the gps batteries died), got back and watched the end of today's Giro, then went out for another 18miles after all that on the 'lightweight steel' folder I cycled up to a takeaway I passed and got an Indian for my tea.

When I grow up I want to be a big bike with proper cranks

On the way home I spotted this and it wasn't even at the top of a hill.

And on tonight's ride I was passed on a wee country lane by a steam train that was going the otherway but by the time I stopped and got the camera out he was just a blur.

Ha ha ha - did you see me and Mrs Rocky? Me on a Bob Jackson World Tour and she on a Paul Villiers tourer? We did Finchley Potters Bar, Bayford, Brickendon, Hertford, Essendon, Potters Bar and back to Finchley

Who was following who? We may well of passed on the road then, was you taking part in the North London Hospice ride? That ride went the same way as myself for part of the way and then turned back along Tylers Causeway when i went straight on to Newgate Street.

You are getting cheeky, must be that EPO you're taking.
Found some off road strava sections on the route today, I got a pb on one bit even though you have to get off and walk through the works, must have been very slow last time I went that way

Went slightly wrong with where I intended to go, you know the bit that comes out at Carrington Lane?
Was meaning to follow the NCN62 to join up with the bit I know near Atlantic street, ended up following a sign back off road that took me no where near there  still good though, new sections found and lots of trails to explore on another day.

We weren't part of it but saw plenty of riders out there - including a very bald man riding no-hands on his beat-up MTB for about a mile...I knew I was doing badly as I was struggling to keep up with him. We avoided Tylers Causeway as we didn't feel like doing Vineyards and Carbone Hill....

Vineyards and Carbone hills do test the legs a bit. From Newgate Street you could just go down and up Carbone and then turn left at the Ridgeway and go to Northaw avoiding Vineyards.
