Had a little 33 miler to loosen the legs after the weekends damp
century ride down in Cheshire,Some young chap on a hybrid tried drafting me up Cragg Vale,
He soon gave up.......
Spotted Svendo i think near Hollingworth Lake

Yesterday - home to Overton caff (Wrexham - Ellesmere - Oswestry area) for an Americano and cake. Moist to decidely moist, but not cold. 21 miles. Bike wash then hot shower, then tea...

Today - home to Wem caff - 2 x cappucino, and huge slice of chocolate cake. Left feeling slightly queasy! 31 miles. Breezy from the N so a bit harder going home. Lovely and warm & sunny when I was out and a few puddles from yesterday - but it's about to resume normal (drought) service - it ain't half black over Bill's mother's... Still got the bike wash to do.

Yesterday: 70 mile circuit Largs - Loch Thom - Paisley - Glasgow - Carmunnock - Eaglesham - Fenwick moor - Stewarton - Kilwinning (train home; legs had gone). Not happy as a century was a possibility .

Today: A wee day out through the east for a change . Pedal on Parliament in Edinburgh; report and pics on this page.

No blue sky here, but at least it stayed dry. Managed to get a 30 miler before tomorrows rain.

Kinross Sportive, 87 miles, 5300 feet of climbing, thundered through the first 50, then sort of fizzled out to a gutter grovelling crawl. Think I was the last man on the road.

Only 3 mugs left on the table at the Arrivee when I walked staggered in. Not a good day, not a good days at all.

Just a wee 25 miler today. But an achievement nonetheless as I managed to overcome my hatred of wind, rain and hills all in one go! Thought I had better before tacking the Way of the Roses. Rain is actually quite fun when you get into the mindset. Good day.

Well done for finishing it . If Edinburgh was anything to go by today, you had quite a stiff and cold breeze to contend with.

Those are my 3 pet hates on a bike too, and I have yet to overcome them! Good luck with WOTR, I did it last year and thoroughly enjoyed it .

Just did 16 miles today but I did manage to get to the top of Beacon Hill, just outside Loughborough. Had to carry bike up the last few yards to the trig. point, but made it. Nice and damp. Freezing hands even though I have silk liners in when it's this cold. A little more climbing than my rides of the last couple of Saturdays but enjoyable couple of hours out in the saddle.
The GF is really enjoying her cycling course and expressing interest in going off to the Peak District for a ride on the Tissington Trail. Last time we tried it we only managed a couple of miles. She even wants to go up to my dad's with the bikes next weekend for a ride round the flat lands of South Yorkshire :becool:.
