Did about 15 miles mainly off road.
Chain fell off at one point , scraped knee on bar , still a bit sore. Got a pain in the lower back after about 10 miles , was it because I was underdressed for the cold conditions or because of the contorted position I was in earlier while painting the bedroom ceiling , or both ? Still hurts.

kfinlay, with that wind and feeling poorly, I'm not surprised. I'm bad for not doing this my self when the weather's nice but take a few days off; you'll be surprised how good you perform after. And good luck in the Tossachs Ton.

cheers Hlab  I'll be out again this week, probably an easy 25 miles around Loch Leven on Thursday then a longer, harder route on Saturday but not too much so I build up to the TT.

Well this evening, I have mainly been around the Wrekin (literally).

I looked online for cycle rides near Telford and liked the look of the "Round the Wrekin" trail. I really enjoyed the ride, but got lost repeatedly as there were no marker signs and only a very stylised map.

As I rolled back into Telford after about 20 miles, I thought I'd try out the start of the Silkin Way (Route 55) so I knew where it was for future reference - now the signage on this were excellent.

So about 23 miles today ;)

I had a lovely ride along the canal from Bradford on Avon towards Devises... didn't quite make it as we realised that we needed to turn around and get back to the car before the ticket ran out... but the youngest was getting tired anyway so a lovely sunny 18 miles for the family.

Saw a lovely dragonfly?

A fast (for me) 18 miles extended commute this evening, all in town. Not many cyclists around for some reason. Seemed like every traffic light was against me today
Around 7 or 8 miles this morning, so 25 ish miles today.

Low mileage this week  Covered precious little since this last Sunday.

10 mile tt on my Moulton tonight, ooooer... I think I need a bigger gear, spun out at 22 mph:laugh: dohhhhhh... I was in top gear nearly the whole ride. Think I need a 56x12  never thought I would say that.

Had the uncanny experience of cycling to my father's yesterday, and back this evening, which is a ride of 49.9 miles each way and on both occasions it took me 2h 40 minutes! Give or take around 20 seconds it was the same time. Clevedon to Parrett Works, Martock and back again.

God bless both half-term and Nuun tablets, which I'd previously only used before I left - 1 x tablet in 500ml of water. Well, I put another 'un in the old water bottle and I reckon it works better than any gel/sports drink powder I've used to date.

Dug the 531c steel beauty out of the garage last night, fettled it and gave it a spin into work this morning. A lovely rolling 14.5 mile ride in glorious sunshine, already looking forward to the ride home.
