Nothing spectactular but I really enjoyed my short commute this morning (less than 5 miles going the long way), with a strong wind at my back for the last couple of miles .

Like you HLab, only a quick commute for me...but i had a strongish headwind  Makes me sweat like crazy with a rucksack on

Just as i was leaving work, i was speaking with a manager who roadbikes. I said 'i;m just off to dice with the rush hour traffic..i like it, its a buzz'
She said she gets that buzz as well....
Funny...traffic scares some to death...others love it.

Bonj, thats a good time, you should add some hills in;)

cheeky  there is an uphill on there actually, between kirton and tuxford. and first 7 or so miles are urban.
quite big south westerly tailwind though all the way though hence the time! (well most of the way, last 3 are back into it)

Hmmm could of been me. Depending when it was, sunday or wednesday is when i'm normally there on the club ride. I'm normally out infront then with the group somewhere behind me
Could of been one of the other young people in the club though.
Young Un, weekends and wednesdays club rides. Tuesdays out on the club TT in the evening now, then the rest of the days(except saturday, rest day but will soon be another club ride) i go out on my own in the day. Dont underestimate the seniors though, the experience the have and sometime the power they have is amazing.
Bonj, thats a good time, you should add some hills in;)

oh now i wasnt underestimating the seniors,

i saw a trio of them the other day when i was out for a ride ( they were going in the opposite direction) and they were flying along.

im pretty sure they were going faster than me but i was on a rigid mtb and they were on racers.

i was also looking through the clubs records and some of the seniors tt times are pretty close to those of the adults

Nice rid today. 57.90miles in a slow time. We slowed down for one of the people that came out, but it was a nice ride. Relaxed the legs. Way back was a tad faster though. Came charging back into a headwind keeping my sped high. Decent weather aswell.
Young Un, they are the people who's back wheen you sit on all day and relax;)

i did my first club ride tonight,

somebody offered to lend me a road bike so i jumped at the chance,

a very hilly 13.4 miles at 16mph average.

i am well chuffed and all the guys/kids said how well i has done for my first ride,

just a couple more on the borrowed bike and hopefully my parents will see that i do deserve the loan for the giant scr2:evil:

Did 67 hilly miles on Isle of Wight yesterday - very slowly but it was my longest trip to date.

I had some presents to give to my nephews; it could have waited but tonight was a nice night and I wanted to try out my CC bib, if a little windy. I hard to work hard to against the wind and hills to do 15mph for the 19 mile to their house via the parent's but coming back I went by a more direct route with the wind mostly behind me and I averaged 17.8mph for the 17 miles and really enjoyed it.

Went out for a quick blast. Only two of us again, but, we smashed our old time for a loop around North Gower by nearly 4 minutes. Broke the 50 min barrier. We were slightly "cream crackered" when we finished.

What time does it get dark there, today, the 17th July. I is in Northumberland, and could comfortabubbably cycle without lights till 9.20 or so.....

30 miles done today in 1:35:54:biggrin: Got a tad wet, couldnt find over shoes so put some plastic bags over my socks. Worked well until i could feel the water running down my legxx( Kept a good speed up and the pace going, going up the section of hill that really does slow me down, i was going slow but still kept the pace going. Was a hard ride, but nice. Only saw 2 other people out on, one from the bike club.
Saw a PCSO on a bike aswell, looking very happy with his helmet hardly on looking a tad silly. He was sat outside the police station, where all the crime happens:rolleyes:
