37 miles up to a very beautiful looking Wasdale Head.

The wind was a pain going home but with the clouds staying above 750m, fells like Yewbarrow looked stunning. Lots of walkers around today, a couple cyclists, but with the water in the lake still very cold the bravest group I saw were the scuba divers just setting out into Wastwater :cold:

Quick 15 miles in the drizzle on the snotty roads of Kirklees. Me new bike is fithy! Ah well, I have an excuse to dismantle it and bring it indoors for a fettle!

15 miles across the fens again with a constant side wind. Except just as I turned for home it became a head wind and the heavens opened for a couple of minutes as I climbed the only (small) hill for miles.

35 miles. Started out in cold wet rain (nearly didn't start at all). The wind was atrocious. But the rain eased and so it wasn't too bad even with the wind. Bike is a mess tho'. When will the weather improve?

Unexpected cyclechat ride with eatmydust today.

Was all geared up to be held late at the office tonight, as office move is underway. Plans went a bit awry when clambering under the desk to disconnect a PC.

Bang.

Nee nar nee nar.

Out pops Eatmydust. In goes Arallsopp. Off comes jacket. "Ah! Cyclechat" says Eatmydust, shaves my chest, then takes me on a tour of Fulham.

As I said, unexpected.

Spent many happy hours since wired up to all manner of HRMs, ECGs, etc.

Glad you were there bud.

No worries! I hope they didn't keep you in too long, and I hope you got the all clear. I always like meeting fellow cyclists, unfortunately I meet a lot of them on the job, so it usually involves broken bikes!!

Got out last night. Phew.

...and after 4 hours rigged up to a machine, I now have a very good idea of my resting heartrate

Bruised and sleepy, but safe and well.

Thanks again.

Glad you are OK. I assume you had an electrical incident rather that a bang on the nogging?

Missed my ride today - tummy bug  And the weather is absolutely cr&p

I did an hour on the local cycle track with a friend who fancied it more than I did but it was okay in a gruelling kind of way!

Started off this morning with a 30mile TT in Llanwrda/Llandovery. Only my fifth TT and the longest one so far, I was proper chuffed with 1hr26.26 only to find out that the winner did 1hr9!!! Good fun though, trying to catch a trail of snot before it hit the bars made me giggle to myself.... well it was cold...

Later on.. met the lardster for a gentle spin down to Mumbles on the singles. Why do so many people have to go for "a walk" on Bank Holidays? Is walking banned on every other Sunday? Oh- and dog leads don't seem to work on Bank Holidays either - very strange.
Made a speedy retreat to the Railway Inn for a well deserved pint. On the way home I realised I was feeling a bit stiff.......... currently checking the various on line cycle stores to see if I can find a new pair of legs!

Trundled out on my new-ish bike and decided to take on our nearest local gnarly hill. Usually manage to grovel up it on my triple-equipped bikes but was pleased to discover I could also grovel up it on a compact double :reading:

Two people overtook me  How very unreasonable of them.

Lovely sunny day, good views from the top and a nice trundle down on to the back lanes and home.

What a way to meet! Hope you're fine now?

I remember EMD saying he was going to train for paramedicistry, Chapeau.

Don't usually have the courage to post here, but I managed some 34 miles this morning with a few gentle 'ups' in it. First over-30 this year. Does that count?

Took me past my favourite cake-stop at Isfield Station but I didn't stop for a cake - not this time.
