1st time out in 2010 for me and don't I know it 9lbs heavier than mid December!

Just about 13 miles, it was snowing heavily but not settling. Ride cut short by 2 p#nct#res with my pump failing while pumping up the 2nd. Thankfully I managed to get about 35 psi into it to to get me to the LBS and buy a new (non bikehut) one. Was half day closing, 15 mins later it would have been a long walk.

to Richmond Park, 3 laps and back. 51kms.

on one of the laps, I got caught up with a group of Dynamos. Having never been in a group, I couldn't believe how little wind there is....so much easier

First 30 miler, in a shade over 2 hours. Managed to get my front wheel into a tram track at 28 miles:blush: which gave me a fright and covered me and the bike in mud. Otherwise felt good, next stop 40:smile:

Good work ILB. Its great when it all just sings together. Sounds like the peaks are treating you nicely. Beats seven shades of moton out of my daily Streatham dash.

In an attempt to get into shape for doing my first formal cycling race or TT in 2010 I went out with the local club today (I've been cycling solo for about 4 years).

Completed a 69 miler at an average speed of 17.9mph - might have been faster if I'd been able to stay with the group when they hit about 3 miles of hills at around the 55m mark. Obviously there is room for improvement, but I'm hap hap happy, if knackered! xx(

First decent ride since that bastard illness crocked me a year ago. It was slow going cos its dank cold and very misty. 40 miles... I'k knackered freezing and starving but very proud of myself. May not have to sell the bikes after all:biggrin::biggrin:
