well i suppose if one wishes to be pernickety then in actual fact Mrs Wow is to the right of Mr Wow, I am standing behind and to the right of Father Christmas and the esteemed Aperitif is standing behind and to the left of me...

are you the one that looks like he's just seen a ufo?

and why have they all got a ironic grin - especially the fella at the front to the left of the photo (their right), with his elbow on his saddle?

Not the best ride. Training for the Colne Valley MTB Challenge, but fell down a 15 foot drop and crushed a vertebra. Not the best end to the ride. We'd only done about a mile......

80 mile Sportive in Northamptonshire. I can report that at one point I would have been standing in the same field as Bonj, but entirely failed to make contact.

Early wake up to drive down to Bedford - watched gf win silver in her insanely long BUCS athletics event, then hopped on the bike and rode back to Birmingham with a headwind all the way.
125km in 4:40 - not the quickest but then I didn't expect it to be.

Some good training for next week's FNRttC!

A French randonée.

Plus side; well signed so no need for route sheet or GPS, THREE food stops, loads of freebie grub and red wine!!, excellent weather and superb countryside, good roads and bugger all traffic.

Down side; broke my optilabs prescription cycling specs, broke a spoke, last 40km into a head wind.

Got home in time to watch Rossi win the MotoGP.... all in all, a good day!

Managed to do 47miles in 2 hours 43minutes and 2seconds, an average speed of 17.1mph with alot of wind!! And not from my pants either!!!!!

Also got home in time to watch Rossi win in Jerez!!! Go Rossi!!!!

Did the 85 miles that is the Tour Of The Forest Of Dean Spring Classic with Allda Pies and Fairweather. One word to describe it - hellish!

14 designated climbs,10 of which were quite diabolical, but numerous others that would be classed as notable climbs on other sportives. A 3/4 mile 25% climb is no fun after 70 odd miles let me tell you. There were some hair raising descents on potholed loose surfaced single track roads and equally heart bursting ascents. And I pu**tu**d on the first climb of the day as well.

Organisation was almost faultless. Just a couple of really nasty corners could/should of been sign posted better. Oh and not everyone likes banana flavoured High 5 gels!

Would I do it again? Probably not. Did I enjoy it? Probably did!

A very slow 118miles in the sunshine, unfortunately it wasn't warm due to a strong wind but it was enjoyable Dunfermline, Dunning, Crieff, Luncarty, Stanely, Kinclaven, Scone, Perth, Forteviot, Path of Condie, Cleish, Townhill, Dunfermline. On route I took these photos:
