Dull but worthy. To the Post Office distribution centre to pick up a parcel. To Wickes to get a piece of wood. To the cash point to get some dosh. To the glazer to get a tub of putty.
Still , it all had to be done , and it was better by bike.

Just a fast 26 miles - just back, so light was short. Nearly took the best bike, but it started raining as I wheeled it out of the garage, wheeled it back and took the Ribble out.

Flipping filthy - slightly damp roads with the drizzle, salt, mud.....all up my back as well. Enjoyed it though !

Just over 46 miles I meant to go further but when I got up into the hills it turned very misty so I decided to take the back road from Knockhill to Saline. I really like this road (its the bit after 1:59 in this vid, filmed on another ride) the first bit long, straight, well surfaced and slightly downhill but as its a farm road its very quiet (I might see 1 landrover at the most) so its straight into the drops the only problem I always get very muddy on that section. The enjoyment level is so high, I can put up with the mud

About 46 miles - just got back. I'm scoping out the Tour of Hampshire CC ride for 4th April.
Seems that a few members are a little apprehensive about the hills, so I'm on a mission to find a "less hilly route" (if there is such a route around here )

It's possible, but I may well have to shorten the route by a few miles
The lanes are still flooded in places - hope they dry up by April.

none today ...

last night I suddenly decided I had to put some new bars, stem and shifters on my bike.

Well one thing led to another as it does and now I've got a bare frame and a pile of bits in the kitchen:biggrin:

20 miles today, a gentle pootle around the country lanes, still a few sections where the wheel rims are completely underwater as I plough through the fords which aren't supposed to be there!

A big improvement on yesterday's ride which provided me with two punctures (one in each front tyre). I fixed the first one but when the second came, 3 miles later, I wimped out and called for the broom van. Once home and the second puncture fixed (and lots of flints dug out of the tyres) I went out again to test them with a lovely 9 mile loop around the lanes.

73.37 miles today, Met up with ilovebikes, we cycled to meet the Lewisham Cyclists (about 14 people) in Greenwich, then cycled off to Hyde Park taking in Dulwich Park, Brockwell Park and Clapham Common, once in Hyde Park the majority had a look at the exhibition in the Serpentime Gallery, 3 of us took off to have a mooch around Little Venice. Then once re-grouped, back to Greenwich via Buckingham Palace, Westminster and London Bridge. Me an ilovebikes then cycled back home, then decided (in the rain) to add a few miles and hills by scooting into the Kent countryside, to Downe, past Charles Darwins House, then climbing up to Cudham.. a lovely 2 mile descent, then off home.... brilliant day's cycling.

A pretty rubbish 30 miles up to Wantage and back, I got duffed over by someone 20 years older than me , but at least it didn't rain until we got home.

47 miles today. Hoped for 50+, but one of us had a mechanical problem!

Didn't have much time for photos today, but here are the ones I managed.

An unscheduled stop at the Britannia Inn, Llanmadoc.......
