Your day's wildlife

I think it might be a warbler of some kind, it is loud and contains a few phrases. It has stopped now so I'll see if I can spot it another day. I spotted a Blackcap the other day. I haven't seen or heard a Chiff Chaff around here and their song is quite distinctive.

I have listened out for the bird this morning and it isn't singing. So far there has been a Blackbird, Bluetit, Starlings, Wren, Goldfinches, Dunnock , and a Robin, but so far not a peep. I listened to some recordings of birds but nothing quite like it.

I have got a bird singing away at the bottom of the garden hidden in the trees that I cant identify. It has only recently started singing. The song consists of short sharp bursts, a bit like it has entered a sheep trial and the sheep are not listening. I'll try to find it later.
It'll undoubtedly be an LBJ

I'd be quite surprised to find him singing in a tree at the bottom of my garden

They're only sheep, but they aren't run of the mill sheep.
Have they got far to go?
Sometimes they nest stupid distances from water and as the young are not fed by mum they have to walk to water. I remember some that nested on a garage roof, they would have all needed to fall the 12' to the ground before walking half a mile to the river - I wonder if any of them made it.
A couple of hundred yards, but not the most straight forward journey. It's quite a famous annual event in college. Here is the story from 2015.

I think one of the students took some video footage that might get onto youtube eventually.
