I wouldn't mind so much except it trotted right up on the old trail (now closed) where I've been trying to repair the damaged lawn

On this morning's ride halfway up a gentle slope I spooked a tawny owl from the verge it carried on alongside the hedgerow before disappearing as I got level to where I thought it disappeared I looked left into the hedgerow and there it was sat just in the hedge looking back at me , no picture as didn't expect it to be sat there.
That's another reason why I love early morning rides

In Peterborough thus morning with the grandkids, doing the usual tour round the cathedral...spotted an almost certain Pereguine falcon gliding high over the cathedral itself. Crescent wings, bit bigger than a sparrowhawk white throat.
Desperately rummaged for my phone to get a photo, inevitably gone by the time I'd got myself sorted....

This is why cats should be controlled!

Probably. But considering how much more damage humans do, any idea how to control them?

The one theory I have seen on that which seems have a degree of sense is to allow domestic cats to reproduce before being having the requisite op. That way over time the need to hunt will diminish as their genes will evolve to depend on humans for their food.
