saw my 1st bobcat, deceased unfortunately. been driving by it all week. on Monday traffic was stopped briefly with it right next to me & I've been hoping for that again. but always seemed to fly by it too fast. marked the spot w/ my gps so I would know when I was approaching it, each day. today I was able to take a phone video & grab a cpl frames. sorry about the gross photos.

Mushrooms. I’ve got millions of mushrooms! Appeared on the bank behind the house, never seen them there before, certainly not in these numbers. Seems to be two different varieties. Dunno. Slight smell of fish, or overheated Bakelite. Mushrooms are weird.

And on a different subject, a few butterflies around this afternoon. Red Admirals, I think. Bit late for them?

Not from today but from a walk in the Peak District last Monday, a juvenile Grey Heron on the bank of the River Bradford, near Alport.
An embarrassing age-related brainfart led to an erroneous initial ID of Purple Heron! Much less white than a typical adult Grey.
Saw and heard a Raven later on Stanton Moor, but no pic.
