Well, @Gillstay has quite rightly pointed out that my rodent knowledge is lacking… I’ve found another weakness!

High Brown Fritillary butterfly.

That’s 2 Sundays in a row that I’ve been to Aish Tor on Dartmoor and not seen one!!! I met a bloke who had, and had the pictures to prove it!

It wasn’t a wasted opportunity, it never is.

This youngster was far too interested in his food to be scared of me
