Found these in the lawn this morning, no idea what they are but as we had a ton of snow only two weeks ago I’m kinda pleased to see them

I saw and heard a skylark today, the first for me in years and years. This was on the earthworks of Maiden Castle in Dorset.

Fair lifted my heart, he did.

Ring neck Dove I’ve befriended on Holiday this week. You might be able to just see that it has a club-foot. Not that it seems to hold it back much. Currently just helped me finish off a plain doughnut. Good health Sir 😎

While I was sitting outside sanding my latest pyrography project before the expected rain, this furry little fella came and sat near me, vibrating its wings to keep warm. It's a bee fly, but I'm not sure what species - its wings were never still long enough for a positive ID, but probably a dark-edged. Seeing the photos made me realise just how dirty the tablecloth is.
