A local chap standing next to me kindly told me what this bird is called

but I forgot. It was enjoying the blossom anyway

On a different note, one of a pair of Collared Doves has been attacking Woodpigeons in the garden. Despite being nearly twice its size, Woodpigeons flee in terror before it! Occasionally both doves attack together. They're not defending a nest; they spend quite a lot of time beneath a sunflower heart feeder to eat dropped scraps, long enough for any eggs to freeze, so I guess it's mainly defence of a food source, although they'll go out of their way to chase a woodie they feel needs a lesson!

Edit: Both doves present just now, one breathing heavily after pursuing a woodie to 3 gardens away. They're quite happy to share with a female Blackbird!
Due to a combination of clock change, lengthening daylight hours and advanced senility, I messed up reprogramming the trailcams.
One beneficial effect was that a Collared Dove attacking a Woodpigeon (twice its size), was actually caught on camera, rather than just eye witness account. This was yesterday evening. Shame I can't post video, so just a brief description.
The dove stepped threateningly towards the pigeon, which took flight, pursued and chased out of the garden by the dove.
