Saw a bullfinch on my ride this morning. Made my day.

They are a lovely little bird.

I came up to our local railway crossing the other day and 50 yards out - the lights started going. So I slowed down, stopped and waited while the warning lights / bells went off - and the line gates lowered.

10 seconds later a Fox came wandering out from the right: wandering along the line between the tracks and disappeared out of view to the left.

Classic ! It was just like all the pomp and pageantry was just for ‘him’ 🤣🤣

Had to internet search for what it was, looks like it's called a muscovy.

Always a good show of various birds there, think we saw a couple of cormorants further back resting in a tree.

Now that’s rare. Muscovy ducks aren’t keen on being in the water.

More seals and a lot quieter at Horsey without the New Year's Day crowds.

This pup didn't like the crowded beaches so clambered over the dunes till it got to this inviting puddle on a path. Mum had to follow it.
