Isn't that the Holy Trinity Church in Gisleham?

I rode past - and noticed it behind the hedge. Stopped for a snap: and Googled when home as I couldn’t / didn’t see anything while there denoting where I was ! Goodness knows how I arrived at the conclusion I did…….

I stand corrected. Thankyou 😎

Christ Church, Lothersdale. Completed in 1838, it has the font in the centre of the nave and the main doors have been moused by Thompsons of Kilburn. Wish I had known before this evening.

Weird one this - the Crask Inn is also a church (Scottish Episcopal). The sign can just be seen on the door behind the pub sign. The Inn was closed when we arrived on our LEJOG. We were allowed to camp on the grass area of the pub garden for a donation to the church (and the landlord served us a couple of pints after we'd pitched and went inside to make the donation).

An immense fragment of a once even vaster church.
Entering and looking east the way the Norman grandeur ends in the blank wall that now truncates the nave is quite startling.

Six of the twelve apostles portrayed in the porch, and the porch itself.
