Simultan Kirche St. Martin und Maria Biberach an der Riß. According to Wikipedia a Similtaneum is a church used by Catholic and Lutheran Congregations. Apparently there are quite a few around, and they first became popular after the Reformation, so they're an early example of religious toleration.

All this was lost on your correspondent while waiting for an interview in the pishing rain yesterday.

I've only just discovered this thread :smile:.

Here's a couple of pictures from my archives - both churches that I visit regularly - not for religious purposes - I'm an atheist but I do enjoy churches (as long as there's no ceremony or service going on).

This one is St. Cuthbert's Church, Shustoke, where I sometimes stop for a drink and a snack when on my regular local lanes:

And this one is St. Mary's Church, Oldberrow, where I visit regularly to remember a very close and dear friend who passed away last year. I used to visit the church regularly with him to remember his father, and last century with his father when he was going down memory lane - you can just make out my bike in the shadow:
