I really hate the way that politicians all preface their answer with "look, what's important is...". What they mean is that they don't want to answer the question, so are going to answer something else instead.

Well, we know what you mean, but you can be pretty sure that, at the time, they were doing their very best to remain alive for as long as possible.

"Client facing". Even used it meself recently.

"Well xxxxx" As in "Well Hard", "Well Cool", etc. Use that and I'm going to have to resort to physical violence.

"Under-resourced". Never 'not enough cash' or indeed 'over-resourced' for that matter.

Synergistic Benefits. Which really means you can cut costs, usually in support staff salaries, which is not of any benefit to them I can assure you.

+1.

It's a point my granddad makes (who spent WW2 trying to avoid being sunk by U-boats, not altogether successfully). And as he says, he was conscripted like most other people, so I'm not sure "willingly" is an appropriate term.

fresh and refreshing generally annoy me and are vastly overused.
moderate and extremist used in a political sense.
the way news organisations and particularly sky news try and make something up by adding "first" on the front of it, even when it's not true.

Bloke I worked with once was RAF ground crew during the war. Used to laugh at the 'camaraderie' in the movies - said they all hated the pilots: 'Bunch of stuck up ponces, looking down on us like we were dirt.'
