I live east of Bristol , most of my rides head out to the Cotswolds either via Yate/Chipping Sodbury or Bath via the Bristol-Bath cycle path.

It's possible to head towards the Mendips, avoiding Bristol via Saltford or Keynsham but it's a long ride to get to some nice roads.

I live in Yate and not surprisingly most of mine are to the Cotswolds too. I did a few earlier in the year down the cyclepath to Keynsham and then on to the Mendips, nice rides and I should do more of them

Yippeee !! Looks like I've got the North Downs to myself then particularly my favourite route starting at the White Bear in Fickleshole to Woldingham up Westerham Hill ( love that hill ) through Biggin Hill ( remembering to say a silent prayer of thanks while passing the chapel ) onto the delights of Bromley,Beckenham and finally home to Sydenham to a recovery choccie drink.... Lovelyyy

I am new at this so I am finding out most of you are in Europe, but mostly ride the Greenway trails in and around Nashville, Tennessee, very beautiful and meet a lot of people. No motorized vehicles.:hello:

Some of my favourite routes:

1. Ewhurst to East Clandon through the valley via Peaslake, on to Shere and up and over Coombe Bottom. On a clear day the view from the top of the ridge is fantastic.

2. The minor road that runs along the base of the South Downs between Upper Beeding and Pyecombe. A blissful place to stop for lunch in the summer.

3. Steyning to Shoreham minor road following the Adur valley.

4. The dense network of lumpy minor roads north of Haywards Heath and east of Balcombe. Great if you like hills.

Nope sorry. I'm out in the North Downs quite a bit. Usually go down Westerham Hill though, over Chartwell and round to go up Toys Hill. Back through Brasted to home.
