So, it looks like a clear majority of people will be out enjoying themselves, but sizeable minorities will be either working (or doing various jobs) or prioritising the funeral.
I've just been sourcing a new gas burner for camping - after scouring the attic for the old one it turns out biggest son had borrowed it then lost it without bothering to tell us. Grrrrr. Good job I'm not monarch otherwise "orf with his head!!".

Err the difference in this situation is only fascists think woke is extreme. If you are against homophobia/ sexism and for social injustice you are woke whether you know it or not. It’s called being a nice human being in my book, which I still believe most people are. 😀

I've read a lot of both sides because of my culture and my job. When you look at the founding documents their basic ideals sound very similar unfortunately.

Now if you had said communism and fascism basically have the same outcome I would have totally agreed .
Being ‘ woke ‘ is being a left leaning Tory / a right leaning labour supporter or a liberal nothing more . Only fascists / bigots/racists think differently that’s why they try to inflame the ‘ culture war ‘ with lies and half truths . 😀

I've answered 'watching it on the telly'.
I haven't bothered to follow the events over the past week except for the odd catch-up on utoob, etc. ( as I live in Norway it's been easy ). On the day of the funeral I'll start work early, complete everything i have to do and most of the next shift's load, make my excuses, and leave.

Actually, of course, he has proved the opposite.
“Woke” started out well but over time but crossed the line with ”Cancel”. Then along came “virtue signallers”, not new but they started riding the “woke“ wagon for self interest.
I had to keep up so I don‘t end up wrongly classifying genuine socialists and those who sincerely care for the vulnerable and the underclass section of society with an expired tag.
Planning a quiet day then? 😀

asked a simple well worded unoffensive question on local facefluff page stating we all have our own way of respecting the day , personal choice etc to find out if there were any cafes open for me and mini ck 1 to ride to tomorrow

I may find time to nip round the block on my Brompton, just as a token gesture against those nitwits at British Cycling.
