Liverpool, vile horrible sheiythole...

Some parts are, I'll agree with you, but it's a fairly big city and it's not all bad, in fact some of it is fantastic.

My vote for worst place has to be Peterhead in Scotland /shudder.

Dave.

Charter Avenue in Coventry, its lined with dodgy looking flats, with unpredictable people , and a road like a roller coaster, with gaps in, and i work there !! sorry if you live there

Amesbury....stayed there one night en route to a wedding in Gloucestershire. What an absolute dive. Full of chavvy forces personnel driving around in lowered ford cr*ptinas or the ilk and the most cheesy horrific pubs I've ever seen.

It's got a couple of good curry houses though.

My nomination goes to Loughborough: awful soulless place.

Swindon was the ugliest place I've ever travelled thru, big contrast to some of the very well to do areas around. As already mentioned Luton is also a shoot hole. Hull is a dump and always seemed to have zero reason to visit for the size of it (same size as Cardiff iirc). Thought it had the highest rate of gay rape in the UK but possibly that's an urban myth.

I've had the pleasure of spending many days in Swindon this year for work, not even in the centre but out on a retail park in the middle of nowhere:sad:.

Seconded! And Harlow is the other armpit.

What about Romford and Goodmayes, not to mention Tower Hamlets?????

When I lived in Tiller Road, Isle of Dogs (it's been gentrified since) it was pretty grim. Boarded windows, burnt out flats, peculiar feral dogs (I recall seeing what looked like an alsatian/corgi cross) and feral youths on stolen motor bikes.
