I've so enjoyed the current series of Marigold Hotel, it's been a delight to see a celeb reality tv series made with such warmth and respect. They seem to have had such a great time making it and they all seem to have forged great friendships with each other, with their wonderful hostess and her staff, and not least with Kerala and its people. An absolute joy and well worth the licence fee !

We've started watching Broadwalk Empire. Looks great, well acted, Steve Busconni particuarly so, and rather compelling. I guess it's slightly more soap operaish than say Breaking Bad, but extremely good all the same. The complete boxed set was very reasonably priced for a lot of TV.

Prime Suspect 1973 - or as one wag has dubbed it Men Are From Life On Mars...
It's not bad, if not up to the original.

Glad to see The Last Kingdom back, but have recorded it to watch at the weekend.

Catastrophe (s3)
Probably my favourite thing on TV at the moment.

The Replacement
I wasn't sure about the ending, but I thought this was OK. I wished they'd opted for a bit more ambiguity as to whether the replacement was actually doing single white architect or not.

Twelve Monkeys
Interesting enough, one episode in. A shame that they didn't use the film's score though.

The Walking Dead (s7)
Back from its season break, and a little less relentlessly grim than the first half. A little.

Designated Survivor
Another series back from a mid season break. At this point, I guess you're either on the preposterous train or not - I like this series, daft as it is.
Well, kind of, but like you I had problems understanding some of the dialogue, as I'm a bit deaf as well. I'm going to try and hold out because apparently quite a lot of things actually happen in episode 5, but I've managed to avoid the spoilers and I've never read the book either.
There's an episode in which the implied threat that's bubbled under through the first few episodes becomes very real.
