have been watching the new series of Grace and Turkish Detective. Both very good.

Watched an episode of The Wives Ch5 I think, that's promising. Nightsleeper is on the list to watch, I've heard its entertaining if a bit far fetched.

I’ve enjoyed Grace and, having read the books, they seem to be following them quite well.

I will catch up on Nightsleeper at some point. I don’t mind slightly far fetched. I watch dramas as much to be entertained as to be true to life.

Binge watched the first series of Auf Weidersein Pet as my lad's not seen it before, still every bit as good today.

Just need to get him on Boys from the Blackstuff next so he can see even more about the good old days.

Watching an old 'Heartbeat' yesterday and this posh Lady something or other was listening to music being played on a Michell Gyrodec turntable, BTW this is a French TT so should be pronounced with the correct Inspector Clouseu accent.

EDIT Ooooh I'm wrong it must be a Michell 'Transcriptor' first made in 1964

Just binge watched the latest series of Irving Welsh's Crime with Dougray Scott.

Enjoyable series with the added bonus that it deals flippantly with "wokeness"

Have now started Hostage on Walter Presents.

You'll love Nightsleeper then, I've not finished it but its already one of the most ridicluous setups I've seen. Doesn't mean I'm not enjoying though!

David Threfall is in it, which is a bonus.

In a similar level of geekiness, I noticed in the recent Bob Marley film they had Thorens with an SME arm, in Bob's London digs when they were recording Exodus. Reasonably high end for the time, pretty much the right period too

The Wives is a bit far fetched in places too. I might hit Ludwig before Nightsleeper.

Likewise, in an episode of The Larkins (the 'Darling Buds Of May' update), they were putting bikes together from scrap, a couple of wheels had disc-brakes
