The Ghost Story for Christmas; Lot No.249.

It made no sense whatsoever

Entertaining nonsense I thought, little bit of Sherlock Holmes thrown is as well.

Talking of spooks, I started watching Ghosts which reminds me a bit of the film Beetlegeuce. 2 people inherit a haunted mansion and the ghosts don't want them there, shenanigans ensue😀

Invoking Beetlejuice just reminds me how good Ghosts COULD have been.
Watched em all (Robin the caveman is the best character), but there are some weak episodes, and almost every good idea gets streeeeeeeetched out across 30mins of mediocre dialogue.
Hiring a decent lead actress would have helped too ...
A Frustrating 6/10 !

A forgotten gem from 1972... Mandog!

A group of teens and their dog encounter a group of men from the future, one of whom has his mind transferred into the dog. Together they evade a group of baddies from the future and after many nonsensical scenes, all turns out well for our teens and the time travellers. Frankly, bizarre. The theme tune was good though.

That sounds more like an episode of the goodies!

Just started Mr Bates vs the Post Office - its very well done. I have been following the sort for some years.

Once you've watched you'll want to sign the attached....

Hopefully this series will catalyst to her finally getting some justice meted out, but no doubt she'll be protected by friends in high places.

I genuinely had no idea about the post office scandal, but I'm looking forward to this despite having misgivings about most things ITV show. Toby Jones can do no wrong for me!

Yep, prosecutions are needed. Many have had a lot of time to line up there defence unlike the post masters who got jumped on out of the blue. Horrendous treatment of people.

Private Eye have a very good article, they have being championing this cause for years. its still a disgrace that many many victims still haven't been compensated, mainly due to the PO & Govt dragging its heals and offering measly sums.

Hopefully this drama series will ignite ore public rage and pressure to get it properly sorted, including stripping that lying cow Paula Vennels of her CBE.

Oh I thought it made sense ? There were two mummies and they destroyed the obvious one that was on display - but really the hidden one was the evil power one. Love a good mummy story.

This reminds me - What We Do In The Shadows is back. Series 4. All 10 eps up on the iplayer. Always a good watch.

Bang on, Private Eye have been at the front although if memory serves it was a computer magazine that got onto it first, name escapes me. They brought Private Eye in very early I think.
