Kind of, but not really, other than being set in a restaurant and the theme of addiction (but that's hardly uncommon).

The film was first, the series of The Bear was next, then the series of Boiling Point (which I've not seen, so I don't know if it goes beyond the immediacy of the film).

I havent' seen the Bear - but if you liked the film Boiling Point, I think you'll like the TV series. It's very much more-of-the-same, but with a little more time to look in depth at the troubles of some key characters.

Likewise. I'm not sure if the series of Boiling Point was planned, it's definitely on my list to watch but I'm not really in a huge rush because the film is so perfect.

Tail End Charlie

Well, write it down boy ......
I've watched the series 2 Jack Reacher on Amaz. Utter crap, which is a shame as I really enjoyed series 1. This is typically American, to make it better they've just added a load more guns and fighting, instead of concentrating on the characters. I wonder if Lee Childs does actually like it.

Just started Money Heist after finishing a couple of Harlen Coben’s (Shelter and Fool Me Once). MH is a bit Reservoir Dogs but not too bad

I‘m on episode 3 of fool me once.
is it worth watching further, it all just seems deliberate red herrings and confusion.

Afterlife on Netflix.

I've seen bits of this, but not being a big Ricky Gervais fan I've never seen a full episode before, now I've finally decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did.

Four episodes into the first series so far and I'll hopefully be on the second series before the end of the week.

The 'Stargate Universe' TV series is currently being aired on Freeview's Sky Mix channel and it blows my socks off because it's "adult" sci fi by which I mean intelligently scripted with hidden plot and character depths, not a bit like the other shows in the Stargate franchise..
SPOILER- The two main characters in SGU are control-freak Colonel Young (Louis Ferreira) and sly underhand lead scientist Dr. Rush (Robert Carlyle) who hate each others guts.
They've had at least two fist-fights and In one episode Rush tries to frame Young for murder, and in another Young maroons Rush on a hostile planet.
Ah, they don't make leading characters like that any more..

Rush and Young glaring daggers at each other as usual...

I enjoyed afterlife.
It’s easy, funny watching with a bit of heart.
It also gets a bit rude at points.

I quite liked all the Stargate spin-offs as well as the perhaps more light hearted original. They were on the sci fi channel around tea time when I was working away a lot so watched quite regularly for a while
