Just started The Long Shadow too. It's good but I'd like to know what and who has been added for 'dramatic purposes' in these based on a true story dramas

Lots of detail on the WWW - Wikipedia is a good place to start

There are also loads of detailed proper documentaries about the investigation that you could watch - probably available on iPlayer of similar

I guessed at the creepy John in Bradford who beat one of the girls, and possibly one or more of those bradford girls themselves are made up.

I do know the 2nd woman killed never suggested prostition herself, it was her husband who put her up to it. Thats from the eldest son I read in an interview he did.

If you want to look it in more detail this site has lots of information about all aspects of the case: https://www.execulink.com/~kbrannen/index.htm#trial01

Ahsoka

The latest Disney Star Wars TV show is based on fan favorite Ahsoka Tano, a character created for the Clone Wars and Rebels animated shows a few years back. It does serve as a follow up to those shows but there is no need to have watched them before.

Its a good show, the main cast is all good and theres the usual cameo or two from other characters.

Watched season two of Crime by Irvine Welsh...was ok but not a patch on season 1 for me.Kept me entertained to watch it though
Unlike Boiling Point on BBC...watched the first two episodes and as much as I like Stephen Graham thought it was crap, gave up with it.Probably spoilt by memories of The Bear which was one of the best TV shows I've seen in the last couple of years.

Frasier (reboot). Trying very hard to like it. Few good lines but so far it’s pretty bland sitcom stuff. Hoping it’s just early episodes scene setting.

Crime

Fairly standard police procedural adaptation of Irvine Welsh's book of the same name. It's well made and Dougray Scott is excellent as ever, but if you've seen one of these you've seen them all.

That said, I'm a big fan of Welsh, so I've stuck with it, and it's interesting that they've incorporated character traits and story elements from Filth, Crime's predecessor.

If you ever see it on at the theatre - go check out 'The Incident Room' - it's the hunt for the ripper without the ripper being in it and with some dignity restored to the victims. Fantastic play.
