Really enjoying Last of us. The most recent episode (ep 8) was a cracker.

1923, yellowstone prequel, 3 different story lines ran in parallel, helen mirren and harrison ford in one, 9/10
1883 the pre-prequel wasn't worth watching, 5/10

Looking forward to final season succession end of this month, but will wait till they are all out, don't like the weekly drops

having trawled through firefly again i had a look at the formulaic detective series fillion did where hes a crime novelist following a detective around for inspiration/solving crime ,
Very by the numbers crime but i do like Fillion as an actor

Loved them and also enjoyed the follow up programme interviewing some of the cast and directors which was interesting.

Yeah we watched that last night; it was worth it just to see that clip from Morse, with a VERY young Roger Allam playing some bit part !!!! :O
Overall I can't believe how much I enjoyed that, purely from watching this last series of Endeavour. I don't think I'd get half as much out of Morse - I'm sure it's good, but there was something about the period setting, and the two main characters were so unusual in a subtle ways ... just loved it.

Peaky Blinders

Really good cast, and great setting. I'm aware the Aunt Actress (Helen McCrory) tragically dies whilst filming Series 6 and they had to change it. I also like that the each series is only 6 episodes so it moves at a fair pace without rushing it.

Fascinating insight into how the Soviet Union collapsed and Russia got itself into the utter mess it finds itself now.

I agree Peaky Blinders is great, especially the first two or three series. Be aware though that simply watching it can give you lung cancer! I don't think I've ever seen a drama where there is so much smoking. Someone once counted up the number of fags Tommy Shelby smoke and it was some number well into the thousands.

almost twenty years late, I finally finished watching the firth series Angel, that daft spin-off from the equally daft Buffy TVS. It wasn't the best of the five. They should've axed it after three.

I've noticed the smoking lol, I've often wondered how actors do it as he seems to always inhale.

I've just finished S3, after the events of the final episode I've a feeling there is going to be a drastic shift in focus away from the street crime and into more high level political stuff. I'll probably still enjoy it but I would have liked to see more of the low level lower class stuff.

Then again I could be wrong, who knows what S4 will bring!

Ran out of things to watch, tried watching the latest series of You on Netflix. Just the same old plot, lasted 2 episodes and sacked that off.

Re-watching True Detective season 1. Forgot how good it is, Matthew McConaughey is superb in this. Remember season 2 was pretty bad though with different actors, so will skip that and watch season 3, as each season is a different tale.
