I watched the first episode of the new BBC drama Better last night....that was enough thought it was crap.

I was going to catch up on that. Might not bother then

I posted about it the other day and if you get chance give it a go.
I binge watched all 8 episodes ! It's a fantastic show if you get the chance.Leaves you breathless and googling when season 2 is out.

Started watching this last night on Disney+ and saw the first 3. Liking it so far :okay:

I watched the Guy Martin programme about power-production, & very good it was too!!

Watched (by accident) most of last night's about solar, focusing on the north sea wind-farm.
It's the biggest wind-farm in the world. I say,
It's the biggest wind-farm in the world.

I enjoyed it - hardly in-depth science, but enough to be interesting, and lots of incidental intrestin' engineering nuggets (plus some nice scotch scenery). Plus he seems to be on the "right side" of the whole energy crisis/climate change debate, if only from a sensible/practical angle.

4 stars.

The sheer scale of it is quite staggering
What was it?, a kilometre between 'masts' & if laid out in a straight line, 20 minutes for the Helicopter to pass them all (no speed mentioned, but 'cruising speed'??)

I often cycle past the biggest solar farm in the country. You hardly notice it.
And the wind farms out at sea are very impressive. A lot nearer the coast here so they don't get the helicopter trips out to work on them.
It's amazing that it all works so well considering how complicated it is.

And if anyone fancies seeing a hydro electric scheme close up I can recommend the ride up to Llyn Stwlan dam in North Wales. Ok so you don't learn much but it's a heck of a climb.

Clarkson's Farm Series 2, very good, very informative, just shows too, how NIMBY's with money and a vindictive council will go all out to ruin not only his Farm business, but those of 6 neighbours when they try to work together to negate the Brexit fall out, all because he's a celebrity.

The Gold - BBC iPlayer Brinks Matt heist, really it's very good.

Warship - BBC iPlayer cracking little docu-series re HMS Queen Elizabeth, some good characters onboard. And a couple of amazingly young 'drivers" as well.

Better - BBC iPlayer bent cop and local Big Man hoodlum story. Not bad at all.

Sex Life - Netflix lass married to boring in bed guy seeks solace in old flame's bed and everywhere else too. Watched this ages ago but rewatched as S2 is out on 2nd March. Not bad, bit predictable and ok for a rainy afternoon on the couch.
