I Am Paul Walker, Sky documentaries.
Never (knowingly) saw a film with him in it, dont like the Fast and Furious genre/style of film so his death didnt really have any impact on me personally, didnt even know he existed prior to his accident.
I have been watching for 10 minutes and you get the feeling he was a real gem of a human being.

Just watched the New Year special Doctor Who. It was really rather good, where an assassination squad of Daleks and the Doctor are caught in a time loop trying to outwit each other. Good guest stars, definite peril and menace, pace, not to much exposition, and satisfactory conclusion without the cliched deus ex machina saving everyone at the end which has up to now been a recurring problem. Chibbs can write good stuff when he's on form, and the script as well as storytelling is pretty good

The best Doctor Who episode in quite some time. Recent Doctors have been let down by varying script quality which has on occasion been poor and overly reliant on Daleks and Cybermen but hopefully this shows a turning of the tide.
Still not sure about the tend of casting so many comedians though - is there a shortage of actors?

Landscapers (Sky /Now) - based on a real story apparently, really enjoyed it. Takes a very different tack to what you might think given the subject matter, but all the better for it. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed the first 2 episodes, but the last 2 went all weird and I didn’t really enjoy them.

Yes agree. I’ve not enjoyed the Chris Chibnall era, some awful episodes, but enjoyed that one

Watched the first episode of Anne, last night. A harrowing and difficult watch, but extremely well written and acted. The Hillsborough disaster really affected me, as a 12 year old Liverpool and Shrewsbury fan and ironically I was attending only my second ever match that day, thankfully Shrewsbury and not Liverpool. I didn’t attend another game for 2 years.

To be fair on the comedians front, I thought Aisling Bea was superb, and Bishop, who isn't really an actor at all, has been pretty good as a kind of "everyman". The other two supporting characters were great Adjani Salmon, who I'd not come across before, and Pauline McLynn (perhaps best known as Mrs Doyle) was brilliant as Aisling's mother despite only appearing on the video phone

The only Christmas telly better than Who:

The Girl Before

I didn't dare post until we'd finished it - for spoilers - so I can now declare this had us gripped; clever stuff in every episode, and I'm going to risk stating that it was truly original. With a nice ending too ...

I suffered the first episode and thought it was crap...partner watched the whole series and thought the same.At least I only suffered a hour.
I mean really, would you listen to the Landlords demands in the first place ?

Believe me, I have enjoyed fiction with much flimsier premises than that!

There was thing about alien robots taking over a storage rental warehouse on New Years Eve, and ...

I don't do robots, zombies, sci Fi in general very often. So I'd have been spared that thankfully.
I sort of made a promise to myself on anything with more than 4/5 episodes if the first one doesn't do it for me I'm out 😁
