Found myself 'watching' The Only Way is Marbs - an Essex spin-off - in the waiting room while waiting for an appointment. Good God. Wiki has since revealed that it's now in its 17th series. What the hell do people see in this stuff?

How have they managed that?! It's only been out 3 or 4 years!

The Hollow Crown. (again)

Only seen Dick2 thus far. Maybe my favourite play and I thought they did it really well. That said I saw a little bit of their Henry V and to be honest it didn't seem very good - but to be fair was a snippet out of context. Will watch the rest at some point.

How was their Henry IV ? Saw a superb version of that at the Globe a year or two back with Roger Allam staring. (playing Falstaff, who is the star really, at least in Part I). It got to the point the audience would cheer Allam each time he walked on panto-style - great stuff ! We felt privileged to be there

Commissioning editors see a cheap way to fill half an hour, I think.

Gotham s2 - this series really is much better than the first.

The Hundred s2 - its continued grip on my attention still baffles me. It's utter nonsense, and yet, oddly beguiling.

The Walking Dead s6 - Still has the ability to shock - if you thought that they'd have no surprises this far in, think again.

The Fades - Not very far into this, but good performances and an intriguing premise.

The Musketeers - Approaching the end of season one, and really enjoying this.

Fear the Walking Dead. Had series 1 recorded, currently watching series 2 on AMC. Slow start - decent amount of peril and gore as it goes on.

Need to get back into Walking Dead, got as far as series 3, but haven't got Sky or Fox or what ever it's shown on. I will borrow the box sets from my library.

Utterly brilliant last 2 parts to Harlan Coben's The Five on Sky 1. Never saw that twist coming and I do believe I had something in my eye at the end

The Musketeers S2 (Netflix)
Feeling the lack of Peter Capaldi's Richelieu, at least so far anyway.

The Hollow Crown (Wars of the Roses) (iPlayer)
A particularly sanguinary start to the second episode, with a lot of scores being settled in the first half hour or so (which was all I was able to watch at this sitting).

Capaldi was a huge loss to Musketeers. It's still great fun, but without his menace it's just not quite the same.

Catchup night for me, so 2 Parks and Recs (still great), one Last Man on Earth (which is ok), the latest Gotham (still good) and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (watchable, but average, I think).

Parks and Recs' Ron Swanson is rapidly turning into one of my all-time favourite tv characters. I recently witnessed him advise a phone-in terrier owner to consider getting a proper dog, on account of 'any dog that weighs less than 20lb is a cat, and cats are pointless', and declare that 'I hate liars. The only thing I hate worse than a liar is skimmed milk, which is water lying that it's milk.'

I've just caught up with the final episode because I was away at the weekend. I thought the series started out really well, but in the end the plot was ludicrous and full of holes (no spoilers in case others haven't seen it yet). I hated the way they've set us up for a second series as well. Very disappointing.
Couldn't agree more. I can't remember ever seeing a programme stagger from promising to unconvincing to downright risible so grotesquely. The final episode was a train-wreck - 'and not in a good way', as that welsh woman off W1A would say.
