'Paul Mertons Secret Stations' in 25 minutes
Channel 4
20:00 - 21:00
Another excellent episode
However
The station (Braystones) shown on the Cumbrian Coast line isn't quite as desolately situated as it appeared to be, looking at Bing Mapping, there's a biggish caravan site at the other side of the line (maybe 70?)
Plus a reasonably sized village less than a mile away

Monkey, in the latest PG Tips advert is fecking brilliant. Has he split up from Jonny Vegas completely? Is JV taking a career break/in rehab/making it big in the USA? Will they ever be reunited?

I'm the one behind, I've watched 4 or 5 episodes of season one so far

Quite a short series - there's only 12. A good binge and you'll be caught up by tomorrow!

Just discovered a sci fi show calledSanctuary on one of the digi channels. Basically same set up and formula as Torchwood but rather better done. Good "sense of wonder", menace and not too much corny technobabble. Not a classic like Battlestar, Bab5 or Farscape, but enjoyable tosh all the same. Much better than Stargate or the lesser star trek spin offs, or Torchwood.

I found TW to be a bit of a disapointment - mainly poor scripts & execution - as the premise, stories and actors were perfectly OK.

The Last Panthers - 5/10

I did enjoy this but I've not really got a clue what it was meant to be about. Starts off as a fairly standard diamond heist then goes off into a muddled history of Bosnia, weaving in critiques on corruption and a ludicrously unlikely love story.

Had it focused on one of these things it would have been more succesful. As it is, another thing of beauty from Sky Atlantic, but like Fortitude tries to take on too much and ends up a bit of a confused mess.

I wasn't at all taken by Torchwood as a series/soap, but Children of Earth and Miracle Day (AKA series 3 & 4) were both excellent.

Did anyone catch The Cul-de-Sac? A six part kid's sci-fi from New Zealand in which the adults disappear and weirdness ensues... cheesy but enjoyable.

Found myself 'watching' The Only Way is Marbs - an Essex spin-off - in the waiting room while waiting for an appointment. Good God. Wiki has since revealed that it's now in its 17th series. What the hell do people see in this stuff?
