Blue Eyes an excellent Swedish drama.

I've yet to see a duff one. Shirley they must exist?!

With some reluctance, I watched the new Kenneth Branagh Wallander. He was so dreadful in the previous ones I almost didn't bother, but he seems to have taken on board criticism of his overdone steely brooding stuff and has made the character a bit warmer and more human. It was a good story well told, as it turned out. This will be the last short series anyway, but on the strength of last night's it's worth a watch (but not as good as the Swedish ones, just easier without the subtitles).

I didn't know there was a new one! Thanks for the tip - assume it's on BBC 4?

The 100 last night - the penultimate episode of an increasingly random and quite disappointing series - was actually the best one of this 3rd series.
Is it just me, or do huge swathes of this series having loads of stuff that bears was never mentioned in Series 1 and 2.
Like where did that huge tower in the big city suddenly come from..? Or indeed the big city itself? :headshake:

The tower is truly baffling. As was making Clark a lesbian for no apparent reason.

One thing I will always remember fondly is the establishing shots of space and the ground from every scene switch in the first series, just in case you didn't get that the big metal blue place was different to the earthy forest. Totally ridiculous.

More Locked Up - I'm sure that it's a bit daft, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Also The 100, which I still find compelling for reasons that I'm at a complete loss to explain.

Haven't posted here for a while. My regular fixes at the moment:

The Tunnel - Sabotage: Absolutely loving it. Dead grim though.
Penny Dreadful season 3: Excellent. This week's episode was possibly one of the best single eps of TV I've ever seen.
Billions: So far so good. Little bit testosterone-fuelled. Interesting that there really are no sympathetic characters.
Limitless: Watching it at my own pace. Not going to be renewed so that's that!

Still enjoying this, if only for the novelty of gangsters that aren't cockney or American.

Lady Dynamite (Netflix)
Maria Bamford's new comedy series, which I think is a Netflix original. I like it, although I'm a fan of Bamford's comedy already. Quite a few nice cameos, and a strong supporting cast (her agents are great, in different ways).
