Any other Nick Helm fans on here? I first discovered him on BBCs excellent Uncle and loved his Heavy Entertainment series.

He's kicking history in the dick tonight on Comedy Central's "Drunk History" at 10pm. No idea what the show is about beyond what the name gives you, but apparently the Battle of Hastings (and booze, obviously) is involved.

I've just watched Secret Britain which came from Kent, I was brought up in Folkstone on the Kent coast in the 1950's and 60's, but apart from the occasional visit I've not been back since moving into Coventry in the early 1970's. enjoyed the programe, it reminded me about some stuff I'd forgotten and taught me about some things I didn't know about.

Catastrophe (S2) (via All4)

Having watched series one on Prime, I was delighted to see the second series free to watch on All4. I think that this is one of the best comedies I've watched in a long while.

Falling Skies (via Prime)
Middling sci-fi series featuring Noah Wylie from ER.

Finally put Penny Dreadful behind me... not bad for a bit of modern gothic... but the numerous shagging scenes went on for far longer than necessary. The 10 episodes of series two could have been 8 episodes if they'd cut down on the shagging.

The film thread is getting all cluttered up with idiots like me rating serials, shows and documentaries.

So, here is the all encompassing TV thread.

Review and rate what you're watching or have recently watched, please hide spoilers behind tags!

I'll kick off with:

Making a Murderer - 6/10

A solid but at times frustrating account of Steven Avery. It's a pretty damning critique of the American legal process, and the commitment of the filmmakers is impressive. But some parts are repetitive and it really could have used a narrator to move things along.

It's finished now, but Raised By Wolves was probably the best comedy that's been on the box this year. Catch up on All 4 while you can. Series 1 was good, but Series 2 has stepped it up a gear.
Over on ITV Deux, Plebs is back and whilst this series has been a bit patchy so far, it's always worth a look when you've got a spare half hour.
And Two Doors Down on BBC2 is looking like BBC Scotland have finally found a show to fill the space left by Still Game...

I think this may have got better still than the very enjoyable first series.

Outlander (Prime)
Only one episode a week of this, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Falling Skies (Netflix)
I'm midway through season 2, and its growing on me.

I didn't know they'd done a second series! I loved the first so that's this evening's viewing sorted. The Pinot Noir episode is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Like @NorthernDave I thought Raised by Wolves was hilarious. Hard to pick a favourite character but Grampy probably just edges it. A very subtle performance.
