With Daredevil season 2 just starting to stream on Netflix, my weekend is mostly sorted

Daredevil S2 - I'm about 3 episodes in, and enjoying it so far. Jon Berenthal is well case as his character. The continuing evolution of Foggy as a non-sidekick-y sidekick is nicely done too.

As a result of a gift from a friend for whom I had done a favour, I'm now watching Android TV. The choice of channels is mind buffering - over 1000 from the USA alone, never mind all the UK Freeview stuff, Netflix etc.

The X Files - 4/10

Very, very disappointing. Felt rushed and failed to capture the story-telling and tone of the original.

It looks like the episodes 1 and 6 were actually a film and then they made 4 random episodes and threw them in the middle .

Totally agree. I wanted to like it, as I loved the original but I wish they had just left it like that now!

The Night Manager 10/10. Been utterly brilliant so far, fantastic cast, especially Tom Hiddleston who is Bond in waiting, and the ever brilliant Olivia Coleman. The best BBC drama since Spooks for me.

I think I'm on 8 or something, lose track easily. It's good, not as good as the first series IMO. But is it me or has the fighting choreography seriously upgraded a notch?

I was quite sad to see the end of Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands on Sunday.
It had its faults, not helped by budget restrictions reducing the extras to laughably low levels at points, but the basic idea was sound and it built into a decent series, with plenty of potential.
Apparently key members of the cast were signed with an option to make 4 series, and the ending certainly left it open for more, but it's not to be...
