I agree. The Night Manager is very classy with a real hint of menace which it will no doubt will reveal in latter episodes.
Yeah, later episodes...

I dragged myself away from Sunday's episode to watch a GRP bandage set on a PVC pipe. It was quite exciting.
Could you wake me up when something happens? No need to do so if our hero is just getting his kit off and looking faintly tragic and thoughtful.

Happy Valley II, brilliant end to a brilliant series. Best thing on telly since Happy Valley. Roll on Happy Valley III.

It would be boring if we all liked the same stuff, but I do find it interesting how polarised opinion seems to be in this limited pool of viewers.

Personally I don't find it lovey-dovey at all - quite the opposite. They're all out to f*ck each other over in a variety of ways and I doubt any of them would hesitate to stab another in the back.

It is just me, or is the acting in The Night Manager really hammed up and dreadful?
Nope, it's not just you. Hugh Laurie, while not a bad actor, is terribly miscast in this. He just can't do menacing. And neither of the two lovebirds can act their way out of a paper bag. Still, an enjoyable bit of Sunday night nonsense for all that!

I think it's just you. But given that the programme is the only one you've posted about in the entire thread, it must really have gripped you somehow.
I don't watch much TV, and I'm afraid that the little I have seen of the Night Manager is unlikely to change my habits.

Lord knows, I've tried. I attempted to watch Episode Four on iPlayer last night but fled in horror after five minutes. They still seemed to me to still being listless, stuck in a "lifestyle" advert, and acting terribly. How much did this series cost me?

2nd series of Better Call Saul, and 5 episodes in it's continuing the 1st series benchmark and monotonously plodding along seemingly going nowhere.

Filming at Shibden Park too - and there has been a base set up in the car park at The Westfield at Wyke all week, including a couple of catering buses.
