Some annoying bits that I have been meaning to buy for 12 months arrived yesterday, if not bought yesterday.

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Two pairs of handlebars via an auction site; A 3T Ergoterra carbon pair as an upgrade for the Merida Cyclocross commuter and a Bontrager XXX pair for the Ridley Fenix SL build.

Just when I'll get those done isn't clear as I can't do anything until both hands are fully working, but they'll be added to the project bits I was planning to do over Christmas/New Year.

Also, a Paris-Brest-Paris 2015 jersey as I never got one at the event. I've been looking for several years and now have one.

Having been cleared to use the smart turbo I've found I can't hold the hoods without my index finger being below my elbow, which, being post-operative, it needs to be above.

So this evening I used the last of the bike sale credit on eBay to pick up a budget pair of carbon clip-on TT bars. Hopefully I'll sort out a solution with these when they arrive.

Incapacitated. But looking forward. And planning future projects and rides. Typical British stoicism.

Wishing you and the digit a speedy and full recovery 🙏

I do think they over did the packaging though...

A couple of the excellent Halfords magnetless cadence sensors, on reduction at £14 each. I bought one a year ago with the idea of swapping it from bike to bike but I always forget.

When I bought my Spa Aubisque 3 years ago I wanted silver wheels, seatpost etc.

That wasn't entirely possible at the time so I went with some stuff in silver and some in boring black.

Today I had delivery of a shiny silver handlebar from Flandria. That just leaves the wheels. I'll hope to build a new wheelset this year.
