To be scrupulously fair, my wife is absolutely understanding, as her late father was an active member of the Veteran Cycle Club with over 50 bikes to his name. So she gets it, and probably views me as something of a rank amateur. But I'm trying!

As a wearer of specs - not the most exciting purchase for some. But seeing clearly is pretty paramount I’m sure we all agree 😁

Amongst ordering some distance and reading glasses; I added a pair of prescription / reactive, polarised Sun glasses. Sooner I actually need them outside the better 😎☀️

I was on my way to collect my new turbo trainer rocker feet. There are 4 feet, taking 2 balls each. (They will let the turbo trainer move around slightly as I pedal. That apparently feels more natural and should make me more comfortable.)

replacement saddles with crimble money , same as the old one now i have worked out the hardened edge where the stitching goes is good for about 4 years before it causes issues

Ever the optimist - I’ve tonight bought sone fingerless, White Summer Gloves. Took some finding as nowhere had anything in stock…🙄

Will go brilliantly with the new sunglasses I took delivery of today. And I should be able to wear both within as little as 4 (?) months or so 🤣

KMC X-Bridge chain for the beater. Not sure if it’s quite needed right now. But I’ll be ready when it is: after all these harsh Winter miles.

And bought from one of my preferred eBay sellers / an actual bricks-n-mortar store. And one I’ve had perhaps 50+ successful transactions with. **As the amount of cheap / fake KMC and Shimano chains out there is quite incredible. I bet it’s harder to buy genuine than not…….🙄

A Halfords Advanced 175 piece socket set. With BC discount and a £50 voucher from work, I got it for £112. Blimmin heavy, and I shall be hiding it from my son as all my other tools end up in his car or at a mates workshop.
