@chriswoody I got an Edge Explore as new. J have had a fiddle with it in the office but won't be able to cycle with it tomorrow. Briefly looked at instructions and got the Garmin app on my phone. Am I correct in thinking I can put a route on my phone from cycle.travel for example and it goes to the gizmo?

For the first time you ever do it, there's a couple of extra steps, but after that, it's straightforward. Here's the instructions from cycle.travel.

Once you've completed these steps, in the future it's just a case of having bluetooth on, on your phone and garmin connect open then press sync in the Garmin Connect app. The route should then pop straight up on your Explore.

I may have bought a mini saddlebag and handlebar bag for my son today. He's 3, but will definitely want to rock it on his balance bike (especially when we go on our annual trip- he mostly rides along in his trailer, but does like to get out and ride along on either his scooter or bike when safe). My plan is to put his very own inflatable pillow and a new t-shirt in the saddle bag and some toys in the handlebar bag already fitted to his bike on Christmas morning.

Gen 1 Cotic Solaris. I've been looking out for one of these for a while. 853 front triangle, 135 mm spacing.

Subsequent models are "long, low, slack", which isn't what I'm after. This one's a medium, which I'll try with a riser bar.

The forks are 130mm Rock shock Pike , and a headset that reduces headtube angle by 2° will have to see...

Mundo Air Pannier purchased after months of deliberation. I am normally fairly spontaneous too!

Sena R1 helmet with bluetooth intercom. Handy to get info from the phone such as calls, music or directions.

Saves frightening passers by when I have the phone volume up to 11.

Also, some new Falcon Black Diamond top tube (crossbar) decals from H Lloyd cycles.

20 Thick Polaris Fixie straps on ebay. It looks like the rebrand won't be stocking these which is a shame as I use these on almost every ride to some degree. Great for anything from shopping, tools, tubes, bags, tents, spare coat, food, school bags, teddy bears, bass amps... as tested and proven.
