That's strange... I assume that you did undo the straps first?

Did you mean too short in the finger?

I didn't have a problem getting them on but I did feel that they are not really XL. My hands are not particularly big but I needed the nominal XL size. I would say that the XL is really more like L! My shortish fingers filled the glove fingers.

I wore them on a 75 minute ride today and my hands were fine despite bitterly cold conditions.

My hands are very wide across the base but I have short fingers. For finger length I would be M or L. I can't get my hand into a M and only just the L. While I can put on the XL they are too long as above.

Yep! I spotted the straps. I already have some very good Aldi gloves from 2023. I wanted these as back up.

Ah, that makes sense. That's a pity.

I didn't realise that my hands are smallish until someone my height commented on it. His hands are about 10% bigger than mine but don't look freakishly big.

A new toy arrived today:

It measures your sit bones and works out the optimal saddle width when you sit on it.

I'm not quite sure why but it appealed. Don't all form a queue to test it ...

Cycling home tonight I had the feeling tonight that I wanted to up my to see lighting slightly. I done that last year by running an older Niterider Swift 450 and 500 in conjunction with my garmin varia UT800 (one swift on solid the other flashing). The Swift 500 strap snapped this year and I robbed the one off the 450. So I only have one, and thus went to buy another but every where I looked only had Swift 500's on longer delivery. Its dark now! So I looked around for a strap mounted light and found the Leyzyne Micro Drive 800+ and ordered it. The reviews seem good eg https://www.220triathlon.com/gear/b...hts/lezyne-micro-drive-800-front-light-review I think they've made it more user friendly (less complicated) in this model the 800+

I picked up over the weekend a new set of Dura-Ace 11 speed bar end shifters with all the extras for a very reasonable price. They'll almost certainly be used for an 11-speed upgrade on the NeilPryde Bayamo TT bike.

A very cheap 1950's crankset that I'll probably put onto the Carlton Franco D'Italia I have for sale. It's not moving so I'll try some shiny bits as I'm loathe to strip it and sell it as parts, which sadly I may have to as there's interest. I'll add this and a different derailleur (still sourcing) as a first attempt - along with shifting the saddle and re-shooting the photos.

An Elite Ciussi gel bottle cage to go onto the Raleigh project from earlier this year. I'm hoping it'll look nicer.

Working on the Principia showed I was short of brake cables, so 20 Shimano stainless steel ones plus a load of gear cable outer is on the way as I'm short on that too. Unless it's red cable outer where I've about 50 metres of it in a box.

What they mean by making it simpler is actually having more modes but what they call 'Race Mode' locks it to just two modes Full or Half beam.

Pogies have arrived for the commuter.

Predictably, tomorrow forecast fully 10 degrees warmer than this morning was.

Last week it was a 14deg swing 😱 Its still to feel like -1/0 deg on my commute despite being +3/4deg, It'll be the second outing for my new heated gloves https://www.ekoi.com/en-gb/autumnwi...-gloves-ekoi-perf-heat-concept-primaloft.html But I suffer from chemo induced peripheral neuropathy so I could probably use them in the middle of summer!

I get really bad raynauds, and also use heated gloves. But I wanted to give pogies a try as they get very good reports.
