Are you sure you aren't actually a bike shop owner.

Nope, but I seem to have more stock in my parts shed than my LBS has on their shelves.

Continuing the "what can I buy today?" theme - four pairs of short Velotoze. I prefer the short, as does son no. 2. But mine tore on Wednesday with the rain/dirt/etc.

The issue? They're all in green ... but ... my skinsuit's green/white and son no. 2 races in green/gold.

Oh, and I've bid, and won, a Ridley frameset for him as a new winter bike. Hoping to get that Thursday. His Boardman AirPro isn't the best as a winter bike, mainly because it can't really take mudguards, and has had four winters of abuse. We'll look to either stick that on the smart turbo instead of my Raleigh SP Race or sell it on.

I thought you were frugal and careful with money?

You seem to spend about £200 a day

This past year I've been upgrading all the bikes from SRAM/basic Shimano to Ultegra or Dura-Ace. However, any older parts are sold off and that has covered the majority of the cost.

Whilst I'm not Yorkshire-born I live here. And was brought up by an accountant. Some of that frugality must have rubbed off; i.e. whilst I'm not sharing the frameset price (half what I'd been offered for an older one) the four Velotoze covers came to under £18 total compared to Wiggle's £14 for just one.

I do spend quite a bit of time searching for items. But much of what I buy is then covered by the sale of others or I'm in profit.

A new tent- alpkit ordos 2. Since I'm going to start bikepacking with my little man, I needed something a bit bigger than the soloist. And only 200g heavier- so sold the one man and nowhere else a bit more space when I'm on my own as well.

Bought a Garmin Varia rear radar today. We have very little traffic on most roads here and it's quite useful to know when something is oncoming.

Spectacularly useless Garmin mount with a Go-pro fitting for Garmin rear light.

If you tighten the screws fully, the light can't go in as the screws are too long. If you put the light into the mount then add the screws, it won't release the light.

Don't they have vernier calipers in China?

As they say at Wimbledon - "new screws please"

It probably went straight from Solid Edge to manufacturing and then customers without anyone involved ever putting it together or trying to use it. And it isn't a problem only with cheap Chinese tat, DAMHIK.

Can someone change the page as every time I load I see these wheels.....!😂😍

I actually have a pair of them that came with one of my bikes, but one of the spokes pulled it's retaining nut/insert (whatever you want to call it) so I have a very loose spoke. Finding spares for it isn't so straightforward.

They are incredibly light though.
