T? have been posting set times on their social media accounts- DF were on at 7.50 (both London and Bristol), which was only 20 mins after doors anyway. In my case, I'd got to Shepherds Bush fairly early and took advantage of the O2 queue.

On another occasion at the same venue (O2 Bristol) we asked the door staff when the Stranglers were coming on, and were told that Dr Feelgood were on at such and such time and Stranglers however much after that. Lucky we asked as we'd have gone to see Feelgood on their own and are doing so again this Saturday along with the 9 Bellow Zero.
I general would go and see the support band, but I resent having to stand uncomfortably for an hour before any musicians start to play

When I went to see the Tallis Scholars the other day, starting time 7:30, by 7:35 Peter Phillips had his baton raised to count them in for the first number !

Just back from seeing Glen Matlock and His Band, supported by Kathy Valentine (ex Go Gos) in Merthyr Tydfil.
Both were very good, playing a lot of songs they had written and a couple of covers.
Glen Matlock did No Future and Pretty Vacant as well as a couple of Rich Kids songs

Actually tonight, so sorry, not sorry...

The Stylistics in Liverpool. Absolutely and utterly superb, not a noticeable note out of tune, hit all the high stuff brilliantly and took us back to hearing them on the radio all those years ago. Mrs Alol cried. In a good way.

Are there still some original members?

Last night went to see "9 Below Zero" and "Dr Feelgood" on the Thekla in Bristol; a venue I'd not been to before. Both bands excellent as you might expect. They did a rather good coda where they played together "9 below Feelgood" as they put it.

Both great bans that I have seen a few times, but sadly not coming to Cardiff this time.

It was going so well... Coldplay?!

Mogwai are incredible live. A personal favourite of their more recent stuff is Remurdered which is unreal in person.

I've never seen Mogwai live as they've played HK twice before and they sold out before I was able to get tickets. I was lucky this time and they sold out again in a day. They also sold out Beijing and Shanghai quickly. Seem to be very popular in this parish.

Coldplay, well, no-one's perfect. ^_^

I've been lucky enough to see them a few times. Definitely prefer them in a smaller venue, but even if it's a big'un they'll be amazing. Canny fellas too, they were just milling around the bar before the most recent time I saw them, chatting with folk.

Well that was, as expected excellent. Oxford O2 academy was a new venue for me, its proper old school, all standing intimate venue (~1000 capacity) that generates a good atmosphere. The Sherlocks, a Sheffield indie band were the support and were excellent, albeit pinching themselves a bit to be playing to packed venues with Shed Seven.

Shed Seven were great, they look like they want to be there and having loads of fun. It was part gig, part interactive sing along party.
