James Blunt at the Royal Albert Hall, Tuesday night.

It does seem a few people don't like him/say his music is miserable (something he makes light of himself) but honestly, he was absolutely staggeringly good. Even my good lady wife (who struggled to remember pretty much anything he'd sung) was blown away by the gig. Struck lucky with tickets (5 rows from the front) and we had not been to the RAH before, which actually made it better for us in a way, because it's such a stunning place.
I went with some work colleagues to see JB in Manchester just before Covid hit, and completely concur - he was bloody brilliant.

Another colleague of mine saw Bryan Adams in Sheffield last night and she sent me a few video clips this morning. He’s still got a great singing voice and stage presence. 👍

I went to see the Friendly Fire reggae band on Saturday. Not only were people wearing sun glasses in a dark room but one person was wearing AirPods!

Andrew Cushin, at a really cool little venue in Hartlepool called The Studio.

Local lad who's not really my style but I really enjoyed it. I could see him getting quite big so I'm glad to have seen him at a little venue which always seems better for that kind of music.

The support, Northern Hospitality, weren't all that great, basically just Oasis clones and all their songs sounded the same but they were still fun.

An 'Adele' tribute act at Chester Cathedral last night. Her singing perhaps wasn't quite a spot-on replica of the 'real' Adele on some of her older numbers, but the newer stuff she was very very good with.
Great night out, sung along to most of it and (again) the backdrop is amazing. If you get the chance for tickets for something at the cathedral I'd recommend going.

Fantastic , rest of the family want to go again and even though i am not an abba fanboy ( i like abba like most of a certain vintage ) it was wow ! mini ck1 has been too 4 concerts of various artists and she said its the best one shes been too.

We're planning on going. Not an ABBA fan by any stretch but I do appreciate good music and a good show.

Booked for SWMBO & myself to go (back) to The Picturedrome at Holmfirth, on Saturday 20th July

I presume there'll be an emphasis on the 'Rhinestone' era (eg; I Will Always Love You/Jolene/etc) rather than the more recent Bluegrass music

The Selecter last night in Llangollen town hall. Pauline Black has not lost it at all (quite the reverse) and it was brilliant. Took me back to the good old days of gigs where the stage is right in front of you and people were dancing, singing along and enjoying themselves.
Ms Black was also in the pub beforehand and was happy to pose for photos etc, and was also in the venue signing stuff for people.

Fantastic night.

Just got back in (sitting with Dog a while)
What a cracking event!

In the first 20 minutes, we got ‘Coat Of Many Colours’, ‘Here You Come Again’, ‘Jolene’
She sang a few other artists songs, whether they’re on various LPs/CDs of hers, l’m not sure?
Eg; Your Love Keeps Lifting Me (Jackie Wilson) & Son Of A Preacher Man (Dusty Springfield)

Some of her mannerisms were slightly OTT, but l guess they have to be?

Would we go & see her again, given the chance?
Yes (as we would Hayseed Dixie)

I fear the lady may be guilty of inflating her talents.

They looked good enough from where we were sat
