I didnt watch the Guernsey one in the end - the others had already seen it. So we watched another island based film:

The Banshees of Inisherin

A darkly comic tale of two friends, one of whom decides they arn't friends anymore. The plot isn't more complicated than that but it doesn't need to be, wonderfully understated throughout theres several laugh out loud moments at the various absurd and tragic actions of the characters.

9/10

Great film, funny but a bleak ending

Re-watched Human Traffic recently. The film definitely hasn't aged too well - very much of it's time I would say. Must admit though that Danny Dyer's performance was easily the best in the film.

One of the few Danny Dyer films I actually like and enjoy is the 2006 film Severance. Quite an unexpected film.

Overview
A weekend in the mountains goes horribly wrong for the sales team of a multi-national weapons company when they become the victims of crazed killers who will stop at nothing to see them dead.

I've seen that too, not for everyone but I quite liked it!

High Noon
The perfect western. A lone man standing for law and order. A notorious violent gunman returns for revenge. The townspeople abandon their town and sheriff. The ticking clock counts down...

A Finnish WWII story told in the style of Quentin Tarrantino. Basic story, a famous old Finnish commando beats off a bunch of Nazis. A wholly ridiculous storyline of course, full of ridiculous scenarios, ultra violence and blood and guts. Very silly but a good watch if you like that type of thing.

Yup, I usually like my storylines to be believable, this was anything but, surviving execution by hanging, surviving a plane crash, multiple wounds that would finish almost anyone...but I found it rather watchable, no regrets, one that despite the gore...kinda made you smile with mirth

License to Kill with Timothy Dalton as 007. It was rather a good film glad we chose it.

Completely over the top but enjoyable.

Two, of varying genre.

Prometheus (2012)

Has it been that long, Covenant has its faults and Romulus is amazing but Prometheus has something for me. I like this film.

8/10

A Bridge Too Far (1977)

I don't care how accurate or not this film is, they made it. I'll never hold an Umbrella with this much style.

The Lost Continent. Hammer horror meets the Muppets with a cast of nearly stars. Magnificent piece of hokum, but spoiler alert - there was no continent. Perhaps that’s the reason for the title?
Not to be confused with ‘Lost Continent’, which is something else.
