Bridget Jones' Baby - 6/10

This is definitely the best of the three I've seen

Hmmm, forgive me but that doesn't quite have that 'ringing endorsement' feel to it. A low bar and all that.

That said, they're not my kinda thing at all. As you say, and purely from my perspective, minus Richard Curtis at least suggests something different.

The Big Lebowski - 10/10

Shown on the big screen last night at my local Odeon in honour of it's US release date, this is pretty much the perfect film for me, hence the score. A brilliant blend of humour, tragedy, insanity and absurdism all wrapped up in a brilliantly written script where pretty much every other line is quotable.

No matter how small a part they play every character is memorable to the point where it's hard to pick a favourite, but it's always going to be Walter for me: totally unhinged but with a heart of solid gold.

The Cockleshell Heroes.

Saw it was due on and that prompted me to find it on the app.

One of my favourite films. Trevor Howard and Jose Ferrer didn't get on and clashed on set, and this is doubtless why there is such a brilliant tension between the two characters.

And who can forget the wonderful scene where Trevor Howard orders Ruddick to sort out the problem with his "lodger" and the poor beat bobby wonders along and isn't quite sure what to make of it.

Yes it's a long film but worth it....absolute masterpiece for me.I was looking forward to this and it really didn't disappoint.Aidrien Brody is something else and carries the film almost on his own.

I've never been entirely convinced by Adrian Brody, but from the sounds of things this may be the film to convert me.

Never really thought to much about him,I mean I liked him in the Wes Anderson films and other supporting roles... Inglorious Bastards of the top of my head. But he was class in this, deserved the accolade for his role for me.

Are you thinking of The Thin Red Line as Adrian Brody is not in Inglorius Basterds?

Watched that film about Stalin's death. Surprisingly called The Death of Stalin.

Didn't seem as good as the first time.
Funny in an odd way.

Watching the silly manoeuvering of characters reminded me of the corporate goings on that I observed.
