A Norwegian film on Netflix called Number 24. An excellent film about the Resistance in Norway during the 2nd WW. Well worth a watch.

"Frozen II."

The first one had too much singing, but it was okay. The second turned the singing up to 11, and somewhere along the way I lost track of what the point of the movie was. Definitely a victim of the Sequel Curse.

Can you have a musical with too much singing?

To be fair it has been rated as a particularly strong sequel and the song writing is top notch. You may find your child (again assuming you were watching with a small child) startling you by singing "ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh" at random points throughout the day...

I genuinely don't get why people are surprised that musicals contain singing.

I'd be a bit miffed if John McClane burst into song, but Elsa? Hardly a shock.

The movie wasn't billed as a musical. If it had been, I wouldn't have bothered.

Tombstone on Film4.
I rate is one of the best modern westerns. And it’s over 30 years old now!
Val Kilmer was robbed of an Oscar nomination.

On the one hand you are absolutely right. On the other hand every Disney Princess film (with the exception of Raya and the Dragon) has been a musical to some extent, and Disney animation is synonymous with musical theatre. Other clues are that Frozen is on Broadway and the West End as a theatrical musical.

LOL - I turned up a day late to the local theatre once. They had a Rep company so instead of the show I'd booked - tonight's was Paint Your Wagon.
We were there so I thought I'd give it a go anyway. Probably not the musical version I thought.
They opened with a song - 'oh maybe it's just the opening song and then they crack on' I thought.
No. Of COURSE it was the musical all the way through. Still good fun though.
