No, it has virtually no plot and what plot it does have is the reverse...

Retired CIA assassin feels repressed living a normal 9 to 5 life and suddenly snaps, badly slapping a gang of youths as he does. Unfortunately one of those yoofs is related to a Russian monster who gets jolly upset, and thus an escalating tit-for-tat of part thriller/part comedy violence ensues.

I seem to remember a comedy violence scene where he beats four young lads in the enclosed space of a bus?

I might have seen that one, older bloke living in a log cabin somewhere semi rural whose dog is killed by a spoilt rich kid?

Essentially, yes. But there's a lot more to it than the usual revenge tale.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Probably the best Bond film of them all and the music composition is just perfect for the Ski chase. Diana Rigg a fantastic performance, Telly Savalis a great villain and Lazenby a good performance as Bond.
Agreed, although i wouldn't say it's 'the' best but definitely one of the best... but people still unjustly moan about it.

Not quite the best for me, From Russia with Love is probably my favourite.

It's not far behind though, and definitely Lazenby's best. 😂

Diana Rigg used to visit her brother at RAF North Luffenham in the early ‘60s before she was cast in The Avengers. She drove a red Triumph Spitfire and would wave to us RAF kids playing on the camp. Her smile was her trademark, unforgettable, we all looked forward to Sundays. Probably the reason why this is my best Bond film ever.

I saw that in the guide a year or two ago, thought 'i like that concept' and was 5 mins in before realising i'd already seen it!

Ending was 'meh', not that i could write any better!

Savalas is probably the only actor to have given Blofeld a real physically intimidating prescence, much better than Christoph Waltz'z recent interpretation.

Thats right, theres a funny bit where one of them gets his teeth smashed in and is upset when he's told "It's bad" lol
