We watched it on Friday evening, she seemed to enjoy it
I know the chap portraying Don Shirley is meant to be a Rapper(?), but I have no idea of what he sounds like, but he plays the part well!

We've got Railway Children Return to watch tonight, with Jenny Agutter as a very much older Bobbi!
I had a quick look, & was pleased to see that it was filmed around Haworth/Oakworth
Keighley Station was used for the opening sequence, showing the refugees embarking on the train
(Keighley & WVR station was aloo used in the present version of All Creatures Great & Small, when Mrs Hall meets her son)

I'll reserve a full judgement on it, till after watching it

The trailer looks like it's an enjoyable romp. It also looks very familiar and I'm wondering if I've seen it and forgotten.

The tv guide showed that the fillum Nobody was on the Beeb. Not having a tv licence I watched it on Netflix instead. Very black humour in this violent comedy thriller - the scene where the russian gangsters pull guns on Hutch Mansell only for him to then reveal the Claymore AP mine he is holding had me tittering. Pleased to see Nobody 2 is due this year.

Christopher Lloyd is typically brilliant as the OAP who near the end also turns out to be badass and surprises two assassin's with the shotgun he keeps under his blanket.

Not much plot, and what plot there is exists as a vehicle to link one stylishly violent scene to the next. But watch it for what it is, a violent comedy thriller, and set expectations accordingly it's pretty good.

7.5/10 on the Drago scale.

No, it’s bloody brilliant - I had it on VHS back in the day.

My favourite bit is when the German chap greets Arthur with ‘Guten Morgen’, and Arthur replies with ‘Pleased to meet you, Mr Morgen!’

"Seems like a nice bloke, but he didn't sound Welsh"

Arthur then addresses the German as "Taffy" later on, as a continuation of the gag.

Just as much fun and visually brilliant as the first one. A little bit darker too in places which is never a bad thing.

I also think it's very cool that they've done Polynesian dubs and The Rock hasn't had to Americanise his accent to play Maui.

Watched Gladiator 2 after some persuasion...didn't think much of it to be honest.
A generous 5/10
I watched last night and I'd agree.

One weird thing I've never seen before was whenever there was a scene where they were drinking and small banner appeared bottom left along the lines of "Drinking can be bad for your health". Similarly when smoking in a scene another warning appearing. Was watching at a friend's house so not certain if DVD or subscription service.

Entertaining but derivative. John Wick meets A History of Violence. Back in the day, this would have been a straight-to-vhs vehicle for Steven Seagal but fortunately the cast is made up of actors.

I think I might have watched Nobody a while ago but it wasn't very memorable, if it's the one I'm thinking of does it have this type of plot -

An everyday bloke's family/pet/friend is attacked by a gang of nasty boys, and it turns out that normal bloke is really an ex navy seal/green beret/SAS who sets out for revenge.

With such a unique story as that I'm surprised that I don't remember much about it. 😂

No, it has virtually no plot and what plot it does have is the reverse...

Retired CIA assassin feels repressed living a normal 9 to 5 life and suddenly snaps, badly slapping a gang of youths as he does. Unfortunately one of those yoofs is related to a Russian mobster who gets jolly upset, and thus an escalating tit-for-tat of part thriller/part comedy violence ensues.

Better Man @ the local flicks last night (The Brewery, Kendal).

Fantastic, cleverly told tale of fame induced addiction, recovery and humility.

Great CGI, soundtrack was cleverly edited in places.

Quite an emotional film to watch.

Not a big Robbie fan, although Angels, Feel etc were cracking tracks imo.

I have always thought of him as a bit of a twat but my opinion has now been 100% reversed.

Definitely a big screen watch to do it justice.

I'd like to see a good film adaptation of (Lovecrafts) At The Mountains Of Madness or Call Of Cthulu
I've written before about A.T.M.O.M.

I think the first half of the book is an absolute masterpiece in the way it sets a forbidding mysterious scene; but for me it lost all appeal when they go underground in the city and the story turns into a weird lesson in lovecraftian history.
