Dirty Harry
I'd forgotten quite how young Andrew Robinson was in this, & my surprise/delight, when I first realised he played Garak, in Star-Trek : Deep Space 9

This afternoon's entertainment has been The Hebrew Hammer.

It's got more good bits than bad bits, and some proper hilarious ones, I'll give it a 6/10.

The Princess Bride, which, judging by the Santa hanging on the grandson's bedroom wall, makes it a Christmas movie?

The only thing wrong with this film is I wasn't able to watch it when i was a kid.

Over the last couple days...
Leave The World Behind with Julia Roberts.
Tried it, couldn't get into it, turned over 20 mins later....
Saw the occasional 'ok' reviews up post, tried it again, got another 10 mins further in, gave up.

Today...
News Of The World with Tom Hanks.
It occurred to me, I'd seen it before, didn't realise till I was some way in but no problem, a really good film.
Former cavalry soldier, earns his living travelling and reading eager townsfolk the news, following his travails across the wilderness, he falls upon (nor literally ) a young girl who was taken by Indians, cannot speak English and is fairly wild. He sets out (reluctantly ) to get her to safety but it gets complicated.
Really enjoyed it.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

I won't be watching part 2. Lots of action if that's your thing. 2 hrs 43 mins of it I think.

The Equaliser and Equaliser 2.

The Equaliser, films are cinematic masterpieces that transcend the conventional boundaries of action films, seamlessly interweaving visceral intensity with profound existential themes. Denzel Washington's unparalleled portrayal of Robert McCall elevates the films to an art form, as he navigates the treacherous waters of morality with the finesse of a virtuoso. The juxtaposition of brutal combat sequences against a backdrop of brooding contemplation creates a cinematic symphony that resonates with the discerning viewer, inviting them to ponder the complexities of justice and retribution. A tour de force that challenges the very essence of the genre, The Equaliser series are a triumph of intellect and emotion, leaving an indelible mark on the discerning cineaste's soul.

I shall watch the 3rd one tonight or tomorrow.

Ok watched Saltburn again with my partner who didn't see it.Still liked it but not as good as at the cinema and being slightly shocked.
Couple of my favourite films as well....both worth watching again.
Never Let Me Go.
Love the film and wanted my daughter to see it.What sort of society would want such an unethical and heartless way of life....I wonder 🙄
Memories of Murder.
Korean cinema at its best...I've watched it so many times and still love it.Solid 10 from me,it's near enough perfection 😍
